St. Thomas

One cold winter morning it was seven below.
I made up my mind, my friend, the snow's got to go.
So I sub-leased, went south by east,
And freezing ceased down St. Thomas way.

The people were friendly and they gave me the key,
Attached was a tourist guide and handsome was he.
We saw the sights, and climbed the heights,
And oh those nights down St. Thomas way.

I know how it feels to have some sand in my shoes,
To find an escape from all these civilized blues.
No cul-de-sacs, no broken backs,
It's just relax down St. Thomas way.

I know how it feels, they gave me the key.

Anticipation, of relaxation,
Tropic vacation, you've got to go.
No need to hurry, bustle or scurry,
No need to worry, go with the flow.
This is the lowdown, You gotta slow down,
No frantic hoedown, limbo today.
Just move your hips, oh, You're gunna flip, so,

Dance the Calypso, St. Thomas way.

If you find your way down there,
Gonna want to stay down there.
It's a full time party every night
And every day down there.

Hey! Come and play.
You can stay
(It's a blast, get there fast, don't be last
You're gonna love St. Thomas)
In St. Thomas.

I'm trading the city for a tropical tree.
And I'm telling everyone to listen to me.
I'd like to preach to all in reach,
Go try the beach down St. Thomas way.
(I'm takin' ya with me down the St. Thomas way!)
